Theresa's Touch Homecare is founded by Tyesha Thomspon. She worked as a bedside nurse for years and also cared for her own mother, Theresa for five years until she passed away on July 11, 2023. Theresa was also cared for by a home caregivers who assisted with her daily care while Tyesha also worked a full-time job which was helpful as balancing the two was challenging at times.

Theresa was a nurse for over 40 years and was a viable member in her community as she also provided care in the homes of individuals which was more rewarding for her because it gave her the experience of becoming like an extended family member and the feeling was returned to her from the caregivers that took care of her in her later years. Tyesha also realized in her profession at the local neighborhood health center that many elderly patients kept going back to the hospital because they did not have the proper care at home.

Tyesha saw from experience with her mom, Theresa, she wanted to remain at home, where she has created a lot of memories, with her kids, grand-kids, relatives and friends. For Theresa, the entire family would often gather in her spacious house for holidays, parties and special occasions or to just have a place to receive a hearty meal. Tyesha wanted to find a way to reduce hospital admissions for her mom and allow her the dignity to age at home without the need to be in the hospital or a nursing home unless it is absolutely necessary. That's why Theresa's Touch Homecare was created. Our services offered, will help you age happily in the comfort of your own home while keeping your independence.
